Terms and Conditions

These terms govern use of The Block's website, workspace, subscriptions, connected-provider features, and project services. A signed proposal or other written agreement may add or replace terms for specific work.

1. Agreement and accounts

By using The Block, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. Keep account access secure, provide accurate information, and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

2. The service

The Block provides business-workspace, planning, research, software-delivery, collaboration, billing, and connected-provider features. Feature availability depends on your plan, configuration, provider approval, and the scope of your project. Preview, beta, disabled, or review-pending features are not promises of general availability.

AI output can be incomplete or wrong. You remain responsible for reviewing plans, content, provider permissions, financial decisions, and any change before approving or publishing it. An AI-generated preview is not professional legal, tax, accounting, medical, or financial advice.

3. Connected providers

You may connect only an account you are authorized to use. You authorize The Block to request the provider scopes shown during consent and to use returned data only as described in the feature and Privacy Policy. You must follow the provider's terms, keep provider information accurate, and disconnect or revoke access when it is no longer needed.

A provider can change or withdraw its API, permissions, review status, or service. The Block may pause a connection that is unsafe, unavailable, no longer authorized, or inconsistent with provider rules. Connecting an account does not authorize The Block to take financial, publishing, or other consequential actions unless the product presents that specific action for your approval.

4. Subscriptions, pricing, and funded work

Current self-service subscription prices and included allowances appear on the Pricing page and at checkout. The checkout screen controls the exact amount, cadence, taxes, discounts, and renewal terms you accept. Annual subscriptions are charged for the year while monthly allowances and work credits are released on the schedule shown in the product.

Project estimates, Initiative budgets, expert work, usage overages, and third-party charges may be separate from a subscription. The Block will present an applicable proposal, funding action, or confirmation before charging those amounts. Except where the checkout flow, a written agreement, or applicable law says otherwise, fees already earned or spent on approved work are not refundable.

5. Your content and deliverables

You retain rights in content you provide. You grant The Block the limited permission needed to host, process, reproduce, transform, and share that content to operate the service and deliver work you request. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for submitted content and connected accounts.

Ownership and license terms for custom deliverables are governed by the applicable proposal or written agreement. The Block retains its pre-existing software, templates, methods, and general know-how. Open-source and third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use The Block to break the law; infringe rights; access accounts or systems without authorization; distribute malware; evade security or spending controls; expose another person's credentials; overload the service; or misrepresent AI output as reviewed professional advice. We may investigate misuse and restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the service.

7. Third-party services

Third-party providers such as hosting, payment, repository, design, analytics, and AI services are governed by their own terms. The Block is responsible for its own service but does not control a provider's independent systems, outages, account decisions, or policy changes.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and can manage eligible subscription changes in the product. The Block may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, material breach, legal requirements, security risk, provider-rule violations, or harm to the service or others. Terms that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply, including payment obligations, ownership, confidentiality, warranty limitations, and dispute terms in an applicable agreement.

9. Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided on an as-available basis. To the extent permitted by law, The Block disclaims implied warranties that cannot fairly be applied to an evolving software and project service. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that applicable law does not allow the parties to exclude. Any additional liability allocation for paid project work appears in the applicable written agreement.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms to reflect service or legal changes. Material updates will be posted here with a new revision date. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply prospectively, subject to applicable law and any controlling written agreement. Questions can be sent to support@theblock.me.
